The nomadic days begin...

Just a quick update regarding where I am and what I'm doing:

Classes finished last Thursday, and most of my fellow students left that night. I stayed at my host family's house for a few extra days, then, on Sunday, I joined two other girls from my program at a hostel downtown. They left this morning for a short trip to Cairo and will be back on Friday; since I just went like a week ago, I thought I'd save some money and stay here. So now, I'm in the hostel by myself, and have the next few days to explore Amman. Then, if everything works out, we'll head to Jerusalem and Bethlehem for a few days, then back to Amman for a night or two. After that, I'll have to make my way to Istanbul, hopefully spend a few days there exploring, and then fly to Barcelona on August 30. I'll have two nights there, and then I fly to Granada on September 1 to start my semester!

In sum, I have two weeks of some rather undefined adventures ahead of me, for which I'm both excited and a bit anxious... let's hope it all goes well!
