I spent three years volunteering at ACEDONE, an after-school program for Somali youth. Most days, the kids were annoying, uncooperative, and lazy, and I absolutely loved them. This fall, I started leading a volunteer group at Charlestown Adult Education and though I've greatly enjoyed my time there thus far, many tears were shed when I had to say goodbye to my ACEDONE kids. I can't begin to describe them all, so I'll just leave you with some photos from my last days with them while I take a moment to cry again:
