Yesterday, someone asked me what my favorite Beatles song was and obviously I couldn't answer. Instead, I decided to come up with a top-ten list. This was an emotionally trying process, and I can't say that I'm 100% confident with my choices, but I tried. In chronological order:

1. "Baby It's You" (I don't care if it's a cover)
2. "Yesterday"
3. "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)"
4. "A Day In The Life"
5. "All You Need Is Love"
6. "Blackbird"
7. "Rocky Raccoon"
8. "Something"
9. "Here Comes The Sun"
10. "Across The Universe"

Semi-finalists:
"Oh! Darling," "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," "Dear Prudence," "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Don't Pass Me By," "I'll Follow The Sun," "Honey Don't," "I Me Mine, For You Blue," "Strawberry Fields Forever," "I Saw Her Standing There," "Love You To," "She Said She Said," "Girl," "In My Life," "I Feel Fine," "The Inner Light," "Revolution," "Till There Was You," "You Really Got A Hold On Me," and "Don't Let Me Down."

"Julia" was probably the hardest to cut from my list. I think it's a beautiful song and it almost always moves me to tears. Its sweet melancholy represents what I love most about John Lennon (though I will always remain devoted to George) and it just seems so completely, so delicately human. But I feel like it's a Lennon song more than a Beatles song, and I don't think it has enough cultural significance, so it remains an honorable mention. Or it can be number 11?

I have just listened to all the songs in your top ten plus Julia and I must agree, they are all so beautiful in different ways!

However, I think you forgot your favorite: "Why Don't We Do It in the Road?" hahahahaha

How could I leave that one out? Or "Revolution 9?"
